In Conclusion…
2024 has been a full year! Here’s a little digital scrapbooking.
Dark winter nights are much more cheerful in the rehearsal hall. Directing this cast in Sense and Sensibility was such a joy!

Upon returning to Virginia, I got a nice surprise: coming in as an understudy/guest artist for These Shining Lives!
I also got to hang backstage at a Tauren Wells concert! My first time stage managing live music.
Freedom groups were wonderful for getting settled at church in Virginia Beach! Our conference in April was the cherry on top.
Weddings!! Grateful for the happy couples that included me in their big days this year!
Hopped south of the state line to visit the Wright Brothers memorial in Kitty Hawk, NC & enjoy the Outer Banks.
In June, I started a graduate certificate in Church History! A refreshing challenge to be a student again.
In July, got to go back to Canada and spend some time outside the city with family! Life really is better at the lake.
Since moving to the States I’ve continued working with Marion Abbott as her Artistic Assistant. It’s been an exciting season as she’s migrated from wearing many theatre-music-educator hats around the GTA to focusing full-time as an author, playwright, and composer in beautiful Nova Scotia.
Her first novel, Ground Rules, came out on August 27th. It’s a hoot for anyone whose been involved in a theatre community.
Living in Virginia Beach makes all summer feel like vacation, especially with sunshine-kind-of-people around :)
A perfect, cozy fall! Starting in September, I assisted in leading a small group on Lewis’ Mere Christianity. I started my second round of Church History classes and celebrated one year with CBNI.
In October, we drove from Boston to visit Acadia National Park! A week of lighthouses, lobster bisque, blueberry pancakes, whale watching, and gazing at nature.
Coaching continued throughout the seasons! This year I ended up working with a higher ratio of adults than young artists, and celebrated two actors booking their first agents! If you’re interested or know someone who might be, I’ll have more slots available in the new year.
And then the holidays! Ohio for Thanksgiving and Toronto for Christmas. Two very different views from a plane, but both carry the excitement of coming home.
… so in conclusion, 2024 held beautiful moments and many I can’t capture here. I’m sure yours did too! A few tears, many hugs, and grace for each day. Cheers to another one ahead.
Hope you had a very, merry Christmas & wishing you a happy New Year!
