News & Updates
Growing up as a shy but curious artist, Gabrielle’s love for dance, visual art, and story intersected when she discovered performing in the theatre. Pairing quiet beauty inherited from her mother and off-beat humour from involvement in her father’s career in deathcare, she strives to bring joyful wit and unpretentious elegance to her acting roles... whether that be the book-worm ingenue, the clever best-friend, or the too-cute-to-be-good psycho.
She has a particular passion for new work, female led projects, and the intersection of faith and art. In addition to her time on stage, Gabrielle enjoys her work as a stage-manager, director, and teaching artist. Outside of the theatre, Gabrielle loves introverted afternoons curled up with a hot cup and an embroidery project.
Gabrielle spent her childhood in the peaceful corn fields of Ohio, the lively multicultural city of Toronto, and travelling across North America and Europe. After completing a Master of Fine Arts in Acting in Virginia Beach, she settled in Toronto with her hamster, Honey. While in the GTA, Gabrielle worked with several indie theatre companies, reinvigorating her love for new work and collaboration. Some highlights include performing in rep with The Spirit of Maud Theatre Company; directing her first female centric play, Emilie: La Marquise du Châtelet Defends Her Life Tonight; and aiding in the development of multiple new works… including workshopping her own first full-length play!
Gabrielle recently returned to Virginia Beach for a new, coastal adventure.
